Bryan Goodnight – Freshman Head Coach
Bryan Goodnight returns for his 11th season at Saguaro and his 5th year as the Freshman Head Coach. Prior to becoming the Freshman Head Coach, he was the JV Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach which he will continue to do at the freshman level. Before joining the Sabercat family, he coached 4 years at the Boys and Girls Club as a way to do something constructive and challenging with his son, Taylor, who played 4 years at Saguaro. He graduated in 2011 as well as playing on the 2010 state championship team. He now serves our country in the United States Air Force.
Craig Bartholomew – Freshman Offensive Coordinator, QB’s/DB’s
Craig Bartholomew is in his 3rd year with the Saguaro Football Program, serving this year as the Freshman Offensive Coordinator. Prior to joining the Saguaro staff, Coach Craig has been involved in youth tackle programs in the Phoenix area for the past 6 years. During this time he has held head coaching positions and offensive coordinator positions while helping to develop high character athletes in those programs. Craig has a daughter who graduated from Saguaro and a son who will be entering his junior season as a Sabercat.
Eric Kronengold – Freshmen Receivers / Secondary
This is Coach Kronengold’s third year at Saguaro. He has been involved in football for over 15 years, 6 years playing and now nine coaching. He began his coaching career with several youth football clubs, most recently with the Scottsdale Argonauts which has grown to be one of the premier football clubs in the state of Arizona. The Argos have worked to achieve many state championships, as well as winning five National Championships during their storied history. Coach Kronengold attended Arizona State University – graduating with a Masters in Finance and B.S. degrees in Political Science and Psychology. He attended Tempe High School where he was a three sport athlete lettering in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He has been married to his wife Laurel for 16 years and has two children, Amanda 14, and Hunter 13. They live in Scottsdale.
Nick Offenberger – Freshman Offensive Line
Coach O is coming into his second year at Saguaro High School. Currently Coach O operates and head coaches the AZ Blue Devils, a youth football and basketball organization here in the valley. His football team competes locally and nationally and has become one of the premier youth football programs for kids 8-10 years old. Coach graduated from NAU in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Business. Since then, he has gone on to run multiple small businesses and currently works in the mortgage industry. Aside from coaching year round, Coach O enjoys spending time with his fiancé Kacey, daughter Angaliea and dog Snoop.
Benny Pelosi – Freshman O-Line/D-Line
Coach Pelosi is returning for his 4th year coaching for the Saguaro Freshman team. In the off season, he coaches his son’s NYS youth football team. Prior to joining the Sabercat, he coached two years as a head coach of the Scottsdale Boys and Girls club. Coach Pelosi is a former US Marine. He also has 9 years of experience as a personal trainer specializing in strength and conditioning training for competitive athletes.
